Chelsea keeps getting them

Chelsea have completed their sixth signing of the January transfer window with Noni Madueke becoming the latest addition to Graham Potter’s squad. Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk and Andrey Santos have all arrived at Stamford Bridge this month, with more signings expected before Deadline Day.

Todd Boehly has continued to be busy this winter after a massive transfer spend of over £250million in the summer. Having purchased Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – as well as a host of young players too – Potter is being backed heavily by the new ownership at Stamford Bridge.

The winter spending that has already been apparent under the new owners is also being overseen by new directors with Christopher Vivell and Paul Winstanley in place at the club, though both are in their early stages and are still settling down. Joe Shields and Laurence Stewart will add to that group later this year.

For now though it is Vivell and Winstanley leading the way after Boehly stepped down into an orthodox chairman role. The Blues have certainly not rested on their laurels and are setting out to be one of the busiest and highest spending teams once more.
